Bismillah hir-Rahman nir-Raheem (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)
Dear friends and family,
Day after day, we witness the heartbreaking and unbearable suffering of our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Each time we open our social media, we are faced with the devastating reality of innocent lives being bombed, maimed, scorched, brutalized, violated, tortured and abandoned to die. The cries of the innocents being oppressed echo across the world, piercing our hearts and demanding our action. How can we remain silent when we know we have the power to make a difference? We must act. Their pain is ours. The Palestinians must not be ignored. Their cries must be answered. The people of Palestine must not be forgotten.
In an effort to help, I am collaborating with Revive Darul Arqam (Charity NO 1187831) to launch an initiative aimed at raising vital funds to provide bread to families in Gaza. I chose this charity because of their 100% donation policy, ensuring that every penny goes directly to those in need. Your efforts are also sadaqah and zakat applicable. This charity is also known for their sustainable projects.
Though simple, bread is life-sustaining – it can be the difference between life and death for many who have lost everything. For the families in Gaza, something as basic as bread offers a glimmer of hope and a chance at survival in the face of unimaginable hardship.

Answering the call of our brothers and sisters in Palestine
We are called upon by Allah (SWT) to respond to the suffering of our Ummah. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“The believers, in their mutual love, compassion, and support, are like one body: when any limb of it aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
This is our chance to answer the call of the Palestinians, who cry out, “Where is the Ummah? Where is the world? Is there anyone who will help?” Now, is the time to respond to their pleas, to extend a lifeline amid their unimaginable suffering. While we cannot erase all of their pain, together we can help ease even a small part of their burden.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter.” (Sahih Muslim)
By providing this essential aid, we offer more than just sustenance – we bring comfort, hope, and the reassurance that they are not alone. We, as their brothers and sisters, stand with them in their darkest hour, answering their call for help.
Introducing the £1000 Challenge
To make a real, lasting difference, I invite you to join my £1000 Challenge. This will feed 2500 people in Gaza for a month The goal is simple: I challenge you and your networks to raise £1000, or whatever amount you are able, to help provide bread to the people of Gaza. If £1000 feels beyond your reach, set a target that works for you. Even £500 or £100 can make a significant difference. If you can exceed £1000, your generosity will go even further.
Why bread?
With homes destroyed, families displaced, and basic resources running out, even something as simple as bread can provide a lifeline. It is a symbol of sustenance and hope, giving these families the strength to survive another day.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “The best of charity is to satisfy a hungry person.” (Sunan al-Bayhaqi)
By providing bread, we are offering more than just food—we are delivering a small ray of hope in a time of immense despair. Bread is one of the few forms of aid that can reliably reach those who are suffering, as many other supplies are being blocked at the border. Thanks to the charity’s trusted network, we are able to get bread directly to the families in need, ensuring that this vital sustenance reaches those who need it most.
Why now?
The situation in Gaza is an urgent emergency, and we cannot afford to delay our response. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, and we will be held accountable for the actions we take today. We do not need to wait for Ramadan to give; our brothers and sisters are calling for our help now. Let us answer their call without hesitation and extend our hands in compassion and support at this critical moment.
Allah (SWT) reminds us: “And what is the matter with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?” (Qur’an 4:75)
The plight of the Palestinians is our shared responsibility. This initiative offers us the opportunity to fulfill that responsibility together, allowing both you and me to make a meaningful impact.
How to get involved
1. Set a Goal: Whether it’s £1000 or another target, commit to raising and donating as much as you can. 2. Spread the Word: Share this initiative with your networks. Use your voice to encourage others to donate and raise awareness. 3. Donate: Every donation—no matter how small—makes a difference. Together, our efforts can provide life-saving food to those in desperate need.
The Power of Collective Charity in Islam
There is immense power in collective action. Allah (SWT) has promised us that our efforts are multiplied when we give for His sake.
Allah (SWT) says in the Qur’an: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain that sprouts seven ears, in every ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.” (Qur’an 2:261)
By working together, we can achieve so much more. I ask you, my dear brothers and sisters, to join this challenge. Reach out to your family, friends, and colleagues. Use your networks to raise awareness and funds, and let’s come together as one Ummah to provide relief to the people of Gaza.
Let’s make a difference together
This is more than just a fundraising campaign; this is our duty as Muslims. We cannot look away from the horrors we are seeing daily. We must act. We must act now.
Let us join hands and take part in this £1000 Challenge. By coming together, we can bring hope and relief to our brothers and sisters in Gaza. May Allah (SWT) bless and accept our efforts and multiply the rewards for each one of us.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your compassion, generosity, and action.
With love and gratitude, Your sister, Fahiza
