Why should you fundraise?

Each fundraiser contributes an average of over £1500 towards their chosen Revive appeal! (Based on 2021 fundraising performance). Fundraisers have a number of reasons as to why they intend to fundraise for an appeal. Allah’s Messenger ﷺ says Messenger of Allah ﷺ said “The one who calls towards a good deed has a  similar reward to the one who fulfils it.” (Muslim). Sadaqah has been mentioned to be the best of Deeds, so imagine the rewards for calling your friends, family and followers to the best of deeds whilst having your name written into the chain for every pound which is given for the sake of Allah!

Yes you can! Please email revive@datrust.org if you require any fundraising materials in order to support your fundraising activities.

Not a problem! Appeals are created with a target in order to demonstrate the need to the donors, there is no formal implication from not reaching your target and we appreciate your support in trying! We do encourage donors to continue to share their appeal for a number of weeks and get creative to raise funds if your fundraising page is not performing as you expected. The more effort you exert for this purpose are all good deeds for the sake of Allah.

Fundraising pages are always supporting a main appeal whose targets are ongoing. In the impoverished areas we work in, the need is inexhaustible. So, if your target reaches quickly, the chances are that the overall target for the appeal is still in need of donations, so continue to raise awareness of your page! Some fundraisers like to increase their target if it reaches quickly, in order to give more friends and family a chance to get involved and donate!

Yes – We use a 100% donation strategy which ensures 100% of all donations collected are passed forward to the intended beneficiaries. In order to help us to retain this status please encourage your eligible donors to donate with giftaid (this applies to all UK taxpayers).

We work in extremely impoverished areas. If the fund “exceeds” a target we divert the additional funds to the same region, for humanitarian aid purposes, to the next highest need or to give more than intended. All funds are zakat eligible, this will not affect you donors stance or intentions with their Zakat donations.

All of our appeals are Zakat and Sadaqah eligible in line with the Wakeel model from Hanafi Fiqh.

Anonymous donations are confidential to others using or visiting the site. However, as a UK registered charity, we have keep a record of all donations. This information is held securely and confidentially in compliance with the GDPR act.

Funds are collected directly into our account, meaning there are no 3rd party fundraising commissions or fees. This also alleviates the need for you to transfer funds to us.
