Salaam all. I attended a Rumi Revival event a few weeks ago, exploring the connection with the spiritual and the divine. While I was there, I made a pledge to raise (with your help inshallah) £10,000. The money will go to buying tents for the displaced in Gaza, many of whom are on the streets, in hospital grounds, broken shells of buildings… A tent costs £200 and despite being a temporary fix, given the state of Palestine now, it is possible they will become permanent homes for those people for the next 20-odd years. The thought is heartbreaking but at least they’ll have shelter until Allah SWT gives them the ability to rebuild. So this Ramadan, I’d appreciate some of your Zakat and Sadaqah to be redirected my way – whatever you are able to spare, be it a penny or a pound. May your generosity be rewarded in abundance. Kan
